I penned - or crayoned rather - my first words at the age of three (this claim has been verified by my mother). Since then, I have talked much, written much and most importantly, lived much.
Fulfilling a life-long dream, I have been a full-time writer for more than six years, and haven’t looked back. In my role as detective, I will help you clarify and focus your message.
Why do I refer to myself as detective? Because in order to deliver your message effectively, there are many things I need to know, some of which may be very clear to you and some you may not yet have even considered.
I will ask you lots of questions to “get inside” your message. For example: What is it you want to say, really? How do you want it said? What is the tone & voice you want to take? Who is your audience? What do you want them to hear? What do you want them to be, do, have as a result of your message? How will you measure success?
and translator?
In my role as translator, I ensure that your message “lands” for your audience. Because after all, isn’t that really the point?
To do that, I will learn everything I can about them. For example: Who are they? What are they interested in? What do they want? What language or vernacular do they speak? What are they looking for? What motivates them?
As a writer and master communicator, I marry the detective and the translator and then get down to business.
The end result is a clear, focused message, delivered in the language of your audience.
